Petaluma, CA – Two Car Crash on CA-116 Takes One Life
Petaluma, CA (September 24, 2020) – An auto accident reported in the Petaluma area claimed the life of one person and left a second person injured. At approximately 6:30 p.m., on September 22, the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an auto accident on California State Highway 116.
Reports from authorities show that a black Nissan pickup truck was traveling north on Lakeville Highway (California State Highway 116) when it collided with a white Toyota sedan at the intersection with South McDowell Boulevard.
The driver of the Toyota was fatally injured in the crash. Responding officers pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries. At this time, the police are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
