Motorcycle Crash and Fall off San Francisco Freeway Takes the Life of Beloved Local Business Owner
Joshua Epple, San Francisco native and popular owner of Drewes Meats on Church Street in San Francisco’s Noe Valley, died late Saturday night/Sunday morning when his motorcycle went off Highway 101 in the SoMa district. Epple was traveling southbound on the 101 near 10th Street when he lost control of the bike. According to the California Highway Patrol, as reported in the Chronicle, “Epple hit the guardrail, was ejected from the bike and fell 30 feet to a parking lot below, sustaining fatal injuries.”
It is not known at this time what factors contributed to the accident, and unless any witnesses come forward or evidence is discovered at the scene, we may never know what caused the crash. We wish to express our sympathy and condolences to the family whom we are thinking of during this difficult time.
