Modesto, CA – Scooter Rider Killed in Crash on Yosemite Blvd (CA-132)
Modesto, CA (October 2, 2020) – An accident reported on Wednesday morning claimed one person’s life in the Modesto area. At approximately 7 a.m., on September 30, the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash on Yosemite Boulevard (California State Highway 132).
According to reports provided by local news sources, a man was crossing Yosemite Boulevard near the intersection with Ruffino Avenue while on a scooter when he was struck by a westbound vehicle.
The man was fatally injured in the accident. Crews rushed to the site and immediately secured the area as the victim was transported from the scene of the crash. The driver of the vehicle, who was uninjured, remained at the scene and spoke to law enforcement. At this time, the incident remains under investigation by troopers with the California Highway Patrol.
