Contra Costa, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Injured in Accident on Highway 24
Contra Costa, CA (August 23, 2020) – An automobile accident reported on Saturday morning claimed the life of one victim in Contra Costa County near Orinda. Just after 3 a.m., on August 22, troopers with the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash on Highway 24.
Reports provided by CHP show that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Highway 24 just east of the intersection with Fish Ranch Road for unknown reasons. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Authorities arrived at the site of the crash and declared the victim deceased. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
